Grok, powered by Grok-1, surpassed ChatGPT-3.5 in all mathematics and coding tests but did not outperform OpenAI’s most advanced version, GPT-4. However, Musk and xAI noted that the rapid progress made at xAI in training language learning models (LLMs) with exceptional efficiency is showcased by Grok’s performance. Currently, Grok is only accessible to a limited number of users in the United States, with a price of $16 per month. The xAI team plans to implement more safety measures over time to prevent malicious use and ensure that AI remains a force for good.
