As the crypto market experiences fluctuations, meme coins, known for their volatility and community-driven value, have generally been seeing days of gains. However, Shiba Inu (SHIB), one of the major meme coins, has notably deviated from this trend. Despite the overall market’s highs, SHIB’s price remained stagnant, failing to participate in the rally observed among its peers. This pattern of non-bullish behavior could likely persist, attributed mainly to SHIB holders’ intent on securing profits amidst market uncertainties.

A closer look at Shiba Inu’s current market position reveals the coin is facing a significant barrier to its potential rally. Approximately 60.14 trillion SHIB, valued at over $1.54 billion, is poised at a critical price range that the coin needs to surpass to break out of its ongoing consolidation. This breakout necessitates the meme coin to witness a 19% price increase from its current trading price, a challenging feat needing substantial investor input and favorable market conditions. Recent trends suggest both are currently amiss in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, as holders exhibit a high propensity toward selling to book profits, further dampening the meme coin’s chances for a breakout.

Investor behavior and network activity indicate a cautionary stance among SHIB holders, with only about 20% of transactions conducted in profit. This trend, primarily aimed at profit-booking, does not bode well for the coin’s price, supporting the likelihood of continued consolidation rather than a breakout. For the past month, SHIB’s price has oscillated between established resistance and support levels without a decisive move in either direction. Looking ahead, unless a significant market or investor shift occurs, Shiba Inu is expected to keep testing its support level, maintaining its consolidation within the currently observed price range, thus delaying any potential rally.
