The choice of high-strike call options points to a broader sentiment among traders betting on Bitcoin to ascend well above its current valuation. Such optimism is grounded in significant market analytics, including a noteworthy uptick in the purchase of call options with expiries ranging from April to December, hinting at a sustained bullish sentiment in the long term. Deribit, a leading crypto derivatives exchange, affirms this trend, indicating a clustered open interest in call options at $65,000 and above. Moreover, the December expiry options targeting a $100,000 strike price reflect some traders’ ultra-bullish expectations for Bitcoin’s valuation towards the year’s end.
