Asian stock markets are generally trading at a loss this Wednesday. Taking cue from largely positive stimulus on Wall Street previously, however, the upbeat state was not sustained. The drastic decrease in crude oil and bullion prices primarily instigated hefty selling in a number of counters across energy and materials sectors.
Complementing the scenario, the US dollar was also on an uptrend, strengthening against other currencies. Investors tread carefully as the fluctuating dynamics in the energy and materials sectors unfold. As such, the previously beneficial trends on Wall Street failed to boost Asian stocks, resulting in a mostly lower performance for the day.
