A cryptocurrency wallet believed to belong to former U.S. President Donald Trump has recently performed transactions moving millions of dollars in cryptocurrency. According to reports from a blockchain intelligence firm, Arkham Intelligence, on December 27, these movements were traced back to earnings from the sale of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).

Arkham Intelligence observed that over the past three weeks, the Ethereum (ETH) holdings from Trump’s wallet were gradually transferred to Coinbase, a popular cryptocurrency exchange. A total of 1,075 ETH equivalent to $2.4 million has been moved to date, while the wallet held $4 million at its peak. Current live data indicates that Trump’s wallet now holds $1.39 million in ETH, $644,000 in MATIC, and minor amounts of various other cryptocurrency tokens, totaling $2.22 million.

The cryptocurrency wallet under scrutiny is attributed to Trump by Arkham Intelligence’s analyses. In August, Arkham claimed the wallet belonged to Trump based on a financial report that was published during that period. Forbes India also commented on Trump’s financial disclosure about the same time, pointing out that the balance of the wallet seemed to have been partly derived from sales of his NFTs.

These Trump-themed NFTs are offered for sale by a firm named NFT International LLC, which affirms it doesn’t function under Trump’s administration. Yet, Trump has been very active in advocating the NFTs and has even organized various events for buyers of the collectibles, seemingly collecting royalties and revenues from these transactions. Up until now, the company has launched three series of NFTs. The most recent raft of NFTs sought to take advantage of Trump’s recent arrest by incorporating his mugshot photo. Buyers who made large purchases were given a physical card with pieces of Trump’s suit included.
