Will UNI reach $10 quickly if whales invest in Uniswap?

A specific crypto whale has been noted actively purchasing the native token of Uniswap, a leading decentralized exchange globally, in significant amounts. The token is abbreviated as UNI. The continuous accumulation of UNI by the same address seems to indicate a bullish outlook on the token, hinting at a potential increase in its value within the forthcoming trading duration.

The activity was noted recently when the crypto whale, known as stevu.eth, withdrew 311,302 UNI worth $1.93 million from Binance, the largest crypto exchange in the world, on November 25. The withdrawal translated to a significant push on total UNI holdings by the Ethereum address, moving it to 511,301 UNI, or $3.18 million. This follows a previous activity in June where the same address withdrew 500,545 UNI ($2.42 million) from OKX and deposited it into Binance and OKX in August. Considering these movements, the address appears to predict that UNI pricing may revert to $10, something not seen since August 2022.

Currently, the UNI token is being traded in a bullish breakout pattern as per daily chart observations. The token is seeing an upward trend, which may yield another price surge towards a high of $10, as noted back in August. This is contingent upon buyers driving a closing price above $6.6, which offers the necessary momentum to possibly push the token’s pricing upwards.

Furthermore, it’s essential to highlight developments around Uniswap v4, a significant upgrade of the platform. This upgrade is set to immensely enhance the functionality of the DEX. Known as hooks, this upgrade is expected to introduce contracts that can be performed at several stages of a pool’s lifecycle. They are also geared towards offering more flexibility and customization options for Uniswap’s liquidity pools. The introduction of this feature increases the likelihood of users enabling a range of dynamic functions, such as fees, market making, and advanced orders executed on-chain.
