CAC-Approved Coins Achieve Impressive Prices in September Auctions
In addition to the strong performance of CAC-approved coins in internet sales during September, these coins also fared well in a live auction in Dallas County, Texas. From a large number of results, here are 10 examples that highlight the success of CAC-approved coins in the market.
One notable sale was a 1921 Peace Dollar, graded as MS-66 and encapsulated by CACG. This particular coin sold for an impressive $10,800 through Heritage Auctions on September 15. In comparison, a similar MS-66 1921 Peace Dollar without a CAC sticker sold for $6,610.80 in a previous auction. This showcases the premium that collectors are willing to pay for CAC-approved coins.
Other examples include a CAC-approved MS-65 1905 Lewis & Clark commemorative $1 gold piece, which sold for $8,653.70, a CAC-approved MS-66 1936-S Daniel Boone commemorative half dollar, which sold for $480, and a CAC-approved AU-58 1864 $20 gold coin, which sold for $24,000.
