How dYdX Chain Validators and Stakers will keep the ecosystem Harmless

The dYdX Foundation, the organization behind the decentralized exchange (DEX) DYDX, has outlined requirements for chain validators and stakers in order to prioritize user protection. These requirements are organized into six categories, including Maximal Extractable Value (MEV), operations and security, performance, transparency, governance participation, and dYdX ecosystem consideration.

According to a blog post by the dYdX Foundation, chain validators are expected to avoid engaging in MEV activities or favoring any trading parties. The foundation emphasizes the need to discourage and penalize bad actors involved in MEV, stating that delegators could be affected if they delegate to a validator involved in such activities. Validators are also encouraged to maintain high uptime, keep their nodes online, and ensure consistency in mempools to enhance the trading experience for users.

Other requirements include minimizing slashing risk by monitoring node performance, storing signing keys securely, implementing systems for alerting critical issues, participating in dYdX chain testnets, and operating nodes through legal organizations. Validators are also urged to critically analyze governance proposals and act in the best interest of the protocol. Transparency is emphasized as well, with validators expected to engage with the dYdX community, provide accurate updates, and disclose information about their operations.

In summary, the dYdX Foundation has established these requirements to ensure that chain validators and stakers contribute to a secure and transparent ecosystem for DYDX users.
